Tommy

We took Tom camping this trip. He is harder to manage than a child but we felt we didn't want to leave him at home after being away recently....and didn't want to have to ask for dog minders especially at Easter time.

I took him down to the lake/ dam and he hadn't seen so much water before. He went slightly crazy trying to catch the waves. The weather was dull and trying to rain, just like in the photo. Tomorrows blip shows how much the rain is needed in this part of the country.

Wyangala Dam is on the Lachlan River and when full holds twice as much water as Sydney Harbour. At the moment it is only a third full.

It did manage to attract a full camping ground during the Easter break...mostly families with power boats for fishing or skiing. There were easily a thousand people all crammed in together, half stayed up and partied until about 3am and the other half had young children who were awake at the crack of dawn. It didn't worry me too much as it was a happy noise, but tonight, now we are home, we are appreciating the quiet.
We went with my sister in law and her husband who have recently purchased a caravan, so they are learning the ropes. We have a small campervan and they have a large luxurious van suitable for long trips. They are getting very flash these days. We had a great catch up and enjoyed seeing them again.
