Fallen stars

A lovely day spent with special friends. I took Ross out to Old Sulehay Forest this afternoon, where the wood anemone carpet is just about at its peak. It was lovely to walk and chat, though sunshine and blue sky were a bit sparse. The younger generation stayed at home playing Scrabble - Alex is much better but not yet up to a walk. Pete stayed in the garden and finished building a raised bed with dry stone walls constructed from limestone found in the garden. It's looking really good!

In the evening we enjoyed a Greek themed meal of chicken baked with potatoes, lemon and marjoram, roast peppers and a Greek salad. Followed by three different desserts. There was just time for a dusk Easter egg hunt before they left - although the lack of light made it quite challenging and they had to resort to using torches! 100 tiny eggs were hidden and 93 were recovered. I think the local fox may also be having a happy Easter too!
