Making Memories

I hope that everyone has had a lovely Easter.

After some mix up with timings, I finally got to eat lunch with Daughter No. 2 and family. The weather was very kind to us, so the Grandchildren got to burn off energy in the garden.

Mr E and I lit the fire pit once they left and settled down for a relaxing evening with a glass of wine. Just then Daughter No. 1 and family returned from their holiday, so we pulled up more chairs and enjoyed more wine and a catch up. They live in the cottage next door, so not far to go. Alexander wanted to have a sleepover and what Granny could refuse a golden haired cutie?

In between entertaining Daughters, I walked the dogs and spotted this lovely swan (sadly no camera with me). It reminded me of my own childhood and an Easter Sunday that we spent at our holiday caravan. I was 5 years old and I was given the most splendid Easter egg in the shape of a swan. I remember being absolutely enchanted by it. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen and all these decades later, it is a treasured memory.
