Murky Depths

A log-littered, tea-colored diorama of a southern swamp bottom lives in my kitchen.  Along with finishing up the first steps of making limoncello this weekend, I decided to rejuvenate my gallons of vanilla extract, since the old beans were pretty much spent.  Now, I have fresh gallons of Madagascar, Tahitian, and Mexican vanilla extract working, and they are already developing a heavenly perfume.
