Blooming....

A gorgeous day again, once the haar, which rolled in just after breakfast, burned off again.

Iain went to collect the SBG for the day, and we headed over to the Botanics, armed with a picnic of leftovers and bunny hats (them, not us).

We proved immediately that none of us are any good at map reading while on the hunt for the Easter egg clues, but the kids had fun, and I got to take lots of photos of flowers.

Eventually we complete the 'treasure hunt', and headed to the cafe to collect their prizes (a mini Lint bunny), plus coffee and water to go with our lunch.

After lunch I gravitated towards this tree, which I'd spotted earlier.  It was so beautiful, and the flowers were huge.  I think it was a Campbell's Magnolia (Topher, am I right?!).

A wander round the fairy garden and would you believe it, the fairies had left the kids some more Easter chocolate?!!

After the Botanics, it was a quick trip to Leith Links to play in the park before Iain took them home again.

Tonight we are off out to the Caley Sample Room for a friend's belated birthday meal - think the last time I was there was a blipmeet, about 18 months ago!

It's been a great Easter weekend - thanks Jeebus.
