Ribblehead Viaduct

Today's the day .......................... to seek the sun

I spent most of yesterday in gloomy fog - and yet it was obvious when looking at blips from other parts of the country - that not that far away, there was sun to be had.  So when today dawned looking just as gloomy as yesterday, we set off to find some sun.

We had to drive south eastwards for about 25 miles by which time we were past Ingleton and heading into the Yorkshire dales.  But when it happened, it was instant.  We came through a door in the mist into a land where the sky was blue, the sun was shining - and the temperature was about 10 degrees warmer.

And as a wonderful bonus, there in front of us was the Ribblehead Viaduct - looking a lot more cheerful than the last time we were there.  If you look closely, you can just make out the fingers of fog on the other side .........................
