Big Blue Skies

Woke at 5.30 am to a full moon shining through one window, and the sound of lots of blackbirds in full song pre-dawn. Fantastic.

Met up with Sha', Briony, Roxy and little Arthur at Christchurch Priory Church - my sister and family live in West Dorset, but our visits down here are brief so we rarely have time to meet up.

We took the little ferry at Wick across the Stour to walk to Hengetsbury Head. The cafe there was heaving - I have never seen this area so busy. Roxy and Arthur then took the road train to Muddeford Spit whilst the rest of us walked over the Head. 99 ice creams all around at Mudeford and then the ferry back to Christchurch Quay.

Took loads of photos, but chose this one because it has been a wonderful day of blue clouds and fluffy clouds. The first brimstone butterfly of the year, sounds of swallows, peacock butterflies courting, and a good time with family.
