Costa del Clyde

Easter Monday, and Mhairi came home from Uni so we could all go out for the afternoon.
We decided to head down to Largs, as it was reasonably sunny, better than forecast. As we got closer to the coast it got more overcast, but then it brightened up again. It seemed that most of Glasgow had the same idea as us, as we joined stationary traffic before the edge of the town and it took nearly half an hour to get to the bottom of Haylie Brae.
Amazingly we got parked easily and we walked the length of the promenade, from beside the Pencil, where this was taken, to the boating pond at the far end (which had been drained).
I was tempted to blip this iconic Largs building  but decided on this one instead, as it might do for the weekly blip challenge subject of 'layers' .
Here's another of Largs basking in the sunshine
