Welcome to Madrid

Having arrived late at the hotel, a nightcap in the bar seemed a good idea, and Madrilenos are known for their nightlife.

Now, it is equally well known that I don't get out much, but I had no idea there were so many varieties of gin. Or rum. Or vodka. Or indeed a drink whose producer might have done a little more international research before selecting its name (madame insisted, probably quite rightly, that I do not repeat it here).

Anyway, the barman entertained us with tales of his international travels. Which kept us there very late. Refreshment was taken.
