... with strawberries

Jamon Iberico is one of my alltime Spanish favourites, but who would have thought that it would taste fabulous with fresh strawberries? The chef in Baco y Beto, where we had delicious tapas for supper.

In fact, so good was the jamon with strawberries that I forgot to photograph it. So you are treated here to the final spoonfuls of the most exquisite Tiramisu. Not always my favourite, but this was brilliant, of the pure dead variety.

Pure dead was what we were after a day in the baking heat of Madrid, so it was back to the hotel for a siesta and then out in the (only very slightly) cooler evening. We were a bit early; nightlife in Madrid does not begin before 9.00. We'll know tomorrow.
