Resistance

I spent much of my teens messing around with components like this, but these days I hardly ever see them.  Although I still deal with a lot of electronics, these "through hole" components from the seventies and eighties have been replaced by tiny "surface mount" ones.  The new type are much harder to handle, so we still have some old-fashioned ones around the office for manual rework of boards..
