Bright and early

After not-very-much-sleep-all-in-the-same-room the kids and I were up early and watching Top Gear with cups of tea before 8am. Coffeed and breakfasted, we headed to Littlehampton where the tide was out, the sun was up and we had the beach to ourselves. We knocked off two Geocaches, played and posed on The World's Longest Bench (better and more attractive than it sounds!), beachcombed and skimmed stones. We spent over an hour solving a tricky co-ordinates clue for a third geocache which led us up and down the prom and eventually rewarded us with a prize find; our first Geocoin. I have no idea what this means. We have plenty of Geo-Googling to do when we get back home.

After a game of mini golf we went to Petworth for a picnic, gym on the lawn (Sal), a crash course in action photography (Tom), more Geocaching (Grace) and 'Five Minutes Peace' (me). If anyone has read The Large Family book of the same name they will know how that turned out.

It's been a beautiful, warm Spring day with my chicks. My idea of heaven.
