Drystoning

Travellersjoy and I are adding postcards to our cards and I spent the morning trying to sort them out - so difficult to decide what would make a good postcard as opposed to card; lots of work and a very tiny profit so we're just doing them for our local village and Schull.

I only had one hour's proper work with five delightful little girls, and then met himself for a walk along the cliffs. We were looking at this amazing wall - it's very thick and long and rather randomly traverses the moorland on top of some cliffs. It's all dry stoned and is an impressive feat but what its purpose was is unclear. The undergrowth was waist high at this point!

The wildflowers are fabulous at the moment. We saw three different kinds of orchids, blue field scabious, yellow vetch, pink lousewort, three shade sof thrift, violets, bog cotton, ox eye daisies and foxgloves.
