Arbirlot Falls

Glorious Spring day, warm, bright sunshine.

The heatwave continues - warmer in Scotland than Spain or Rome! We took the grandchildren on a grand adventure - to explore the Elliot Falls near Arbroath. We had never been but it was quite easy to find them, though they are well hidden off the beaten track. After seeing them and taking several photos, Eleanor took the children on a 1 and a 1/2 mile walk down the Elliot Water towards Arbroath. I drove to the other end and walked just under half a mile up the path to meet them - which meant nearly a mile for me!

We then looked for and found a geocache which was placed near the place where I parked the car. Afterwards, we headed for Arbroath Harbour for Sausage and chips! Home - with tired grandparents but grandchildren who immediately went out and played with the children next door!

If you would like to some more photos of these lovely falls, the family and the walk - have a look at my Flikr set.
