Scammonden Water

We went to Scammonden this afternoon and the day was just perfect;  sunshine, a gentle breeze and birdsong.  We used to walk here years ago, but in those days we used to walk at a much brisker pace and we always went all the way round, up hill and down dale and over quite difficult terrain. 

Today we did a circular walk but what's nice now is that we can do it without having to cross over to the other bank;  walking has been made easier too with the addition of new pathways and seats where you can sit and have a breather if you need to.

As I write this I'm starting to feel a bit stiff  -  I did Pilates this morning and a few jobs around the house, so walking Scammonden too probably wasn't the wisest thing.  Anyway "musn't grumble" it's been a super day.
