St Bees Lighthouse

Lighthouses have been a constant guide and a warning of danger to seafarers, in all weathers, over the centuries.

We parked at Tarnflatt Hall Farm and walked to St Bees lighthouse which overlooks the Irish Sea on St Bees Head.

We were hoping to walk on further to Fleswick Bay, to see Black Guillemots, Puffins and Terns, but the wind was really strong and icy!!!

We decided to come back another time...If you have walked The Coast to Coast you'll know what a wonderful coastline this is...

It was warm and sunny when we got back to our garden in Cockermouth!
