Peak District

We had a super walk in The Peak District this morning!

Back home now...very smooth journey.

The twisted tower at Chesterfield, yesterday's blip, was built in the 14thC with unseasoned green wood. The lead cladding was really heavy too...hence the disastrous twisting!

This is the only twisted spire in England, but there are over 70 more in Europe!
