Just Managing to Fit

17.0C with sunny spells, a little mist/haze and some thin white cloud. Light breeze.

This morning I cleared and dug over the small flower bed where Apothecary7's Sunflowers and Cosmos will end up when they are ready. The first of a few areas that need some digging. Maeve the Deerhound supervised from a nearby lawn.

Maeve and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road towards Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and as we walked by the farmhouse we had to stand to one side inside the farmhouse gate as the tractor with cylindrical harrow came along the track, only just managing to fit between the telegraph poles at one side of the track and the garden wall on the other.

We went down the track to the shore road and along the cycle path, then went down onto the beach via the level crossing and walked along to the fishermen's huts. I noticed that Silver Cat has been given the owner's AH6 Arbroath registration in place of the Broadford registration it has had since it arrived at Westhaven which is quite a while ago now. The word Westhaven is also visible near the stern but I don't know if that is the new name or simply an indication of where it is kept. The owner's previous two boats that I have seen were named Valhalla V and Valhalla VI.

We walked along East Row then came back over the road bridge over the railway line and then back up the main road and round to home.

Later I mowed the three small lawns in the back garden. Not as much of a struggle as the front lawn was. Maeve lay on various lawns, moving around as I came near with the mower.
