Coffee Concert

We had a few things to sort out in Manchester today.

I took time out to go to today's coffee concert at Manchester Cathedral. A duo calling themselves "Stringboxes" played for an hour - Holly Marland on the Kora and Michael Cretu on the Double Bass. A mixture of British/Gaelic folk, West African and Romanian gypsy music. And very good it was too. Difficult to photo as I wanted to be discreet, and had to take just a few pics between people sitting in front of me, so this is bit fuzzy. But that's fine by me.

Prior to going into the cathedral, a very fine sight. Standing by the Irwell looking at the BT building on the Salford bank a Peregrine flew in and around and landed on the grecian style pediment. An even fuzzier photo. They have nested here in the past, so maybe are doing so again this year.
