Princes Street Railway Station

What better to do on a Sunday afternoon than to wander round the city centre to get some exercise.

Here is the side entrance to what is now the Waldorf Astoria Caledonian Hotel, which is all that remains of the Princes Street station terminus, (built in 1848, demolished in 1965) for Caledonian Railways. Shame that Dr Beeching and his cronies destroyed so much of the wonderful and useful Victorian railway network.

I hope you have all had a good Sunday.
