Bird of Paradise

We got home from Wisconsin last night to 80° temperatures, already missing the munchkins, and exhausted from a long day of traveling while "under the weather". Apparently the homestead survived quite nicely while we were gone, including this beauty and the other plants and bushes that border the house.

The rest of today will be spent recuperating, starting to process the 150 or so images I came back with in my new little traveling camera, and getting stuff together for Connie's next trip back to Maine to help care for her Mom.

Hope everyone has had a weekend that left people wondering where that silly grin on your face came from ... and the adventure continues.
