A glorious day in sunny Washington D.C. with my dear childhood friend, who had driven up from North Carolina. The morning we spent looking at the ten mile run beside the Mall, and then admiring the huge number of cherry trees in full blossom. This young lady had climbed up one of the trees - with the Jefferson Memorial in the background..
