Clean air in Arnside.

Good lichen growth is said to be a sign of clean air. Knottman breathed it in deeply in the woods today.

But I like to know the identity of what I find. But there is no way I can do so with lichen. Can I please have another lifetime during which to study them? Flipping through my reference books and Google I can only hazard a guess that this may be a Xanthoria of which there are many.
