Back to the Grindstone

It was a training day, and I went in voluntarily to the Festival of Learning. Quite unique conference apparently. There were about 500 teachers and a few TA's and other school staff there from mostly primary schools across the city. It was quite good in places. The 2 keynote speakers were very inspiring and I was lucky to go to one of their workshops.  I only wish that those that set exams for kids at 11 would listen to teaching professionals as there is so much criticism (and justly) about curriculum that focus on SATs.  Or maybe there is some historic reason for this - or is it just governments meddling, who knows.

Anyway a break from puppy pictures although Mr PB did take a nice picture of me and Indie as folks at work can't tell how small/big he is. However as I cycled in to work a different way today I went past one of my favourite building in Peterborough. I wish I knew it/s history.  Back to school tomorrow and the kids are back too. L will continue to puppy sit

Edit: I have found out some info on the building
