After an exciting day of puffin and seal spotting on Saturday, I had a bit of a rest on Sunday daytime.
On the evening we went to Newcastle Uni student union. This gig was arranged a long while back (well before his song "Hold back the river" reached no2 in the singles charts, his album became no1 album and he won a Brit award) so we were lucky enough to see him at such a small venue. Its great to see singers in smaller gigs where you can see and hear them close up rather than at a huge arena (and it made the tickets cheaper too, which were sold out).
He was fantastic live, even better than the CD! We felt like students again being at the student union, although I didn't drink because unlike most students I have work the following morning :)
