Gerroff my Catkin

A pair of bluetits visited the silver birch in the garden this morning. They seemed to be eating the male catkins and were hanging from the strands.

At this point, they started a quarrel, as one flew in to the catkin being held fast by the other.

You'd think there was plenty for all.

I can feel the sun coming out. Balmy!
