Diary of an Edinburgher

Blackford Hill!

It's soooo nice to be home, even if I do have to get my own breakfast. And the shower does not have disco lights...

We both seem to have picked up a cold/cough. Just as well it didn't happen on the boat. That would have been a real b***er. One of our favourite chaps, Randy (yes, he was American) disappeared to his cabin on the last couple of days - not well.

Archie has played with all his toys, slept all night, and was there when the alarm went in the morning as his signal to get up on the bed. We have all slept and slept and then slept some more today. I did get up about 9am to take Archie out and to get bagels for breakfast, then I went back to bed and dozed while listening to Radio 4. Archie just dozed.

This afternoon I took Archie up Blackford Hill where he had a big run around. Kirsty the dog sitter informed us of a new very very bad little activity he discovered, and we DO NOT want it to become a habit!! It's too awful to repeat here, but involves poo. And not just ordinary poo... Yuck!

It was so windy up the hill, I know a lot of the time Archie can't really see much with those eyebrows and beard in his face. He's a bit grubby, so he's lucky we're both a bit slow today - a proper wash and brush up tomorrow, Arch!

Don't want to tempt fate, but I think he's got over his car sickness...
