Snakes Head

It was largely a riddling day.  A large heap of compost was shaken through a small metal grill ready to add further goodness to the soil.  Those piece too large to make have rejoined the compost heap.  Maybe next year.  It is a curiously satisfying activity.

In between riddling spells, we had an excellent lunch with Wolf and Isabel.  Good to catch up after our respective travels.  Wolf is a prospective blipper; I'll keep trying.

The snakes head fritillaries are beginning to show themselves.
