Flagstones

An early blip today as I'll be on a train and bus for most of the afternoon and evening..
Lovely walk from Scrabster to Thurso, sun is shining and now I no longer need to wear every single article of clothing I brought with me on this trip!
Everywhere in Thurso are flagstones, as here on the field boundary along the coast. The flagstone industry was once big business, and is still in operation today. The stone formed as layers of sediment when the area was a huge lake, and contains many fossil fish.
