Antique watch

We left early this morning & drove for about 9 hours. We stopped in Louisville, Ky for some food, & enjoyed all the beautiful horses & rolling hills of Kentucky as we were driving through. Stopped in Lexington & toured Ashland, the home of Henry Clay, who was arguably one of the greatest statesmen ever. He was a congressman, a senator, Speaker of the House, Secretary of State & 3 time presidential candidate, all in the early to mid 1800's. The house, grounds & garden are so lovely--many things already in bloom. This was Henry's watch, & it's on display in his home. The curator said that one of Henry's sons pawned the fob attatched to the watch to pay off a gambling debt, so Henry had to go & get it back. Kids!!  Haha!
Lots of internet issues, so the thumbnail's off & it published the pic the first time before I finished typing! Hope it goes in this time! :))
