Zen and the Art of Lazy Gardening

Buy an old stone sink which apparently came from a mediaeval monastery once upon a time, fill it with a mixture of grit and compost and then plant a handful of small succulent plants and alpines in it. Weed it occasionally but mainly do nothing.

Just as well really as it has been a fairly busy day of work, meeting with my peer discussion group and now I am halfway through reading and commenting on the MA dissertation of one of my students. Another half hour to go and then it's taking it easy for the rest of the evening.

I hope you have a good weekend, whatever you are up to.
