Horses in the evening sun

What a day it's been! Wall to wall sunshine, cats basking, flowers bursting into bloom, serious gardening activity undertaken, a huge bonfire made to incinerate the debris together with ancient kale stalks, a rotten bookcase, eyebrows, etc.

Finally a late stroll down to the cliffs to watch the birds going about their evening business and to say hallo to these two nags in their sunlit paddock.

If you haven't read about the prize-winning racehorse that was raised on the village allottments by a syndicate of South Wales working, and workless, people then I recommend you do so here because the story's been made into a film that won an award at the US The Sundance Festival and is about to open in the UK: Dark Horse, the Incredible True Story of Dream Alliance.
The director says
"At the end of the film the characters are in the same jobs, the same lives... they are no richer materially but they are richer in every other way.”
Yes, that's what's so important.
