Day at a Time

Vatersay

Vatersay is a small inhabited island joined to Barra by a causeway. The causeway was only completed in 1991. Vatersay is the most southerly inhabited island of the Western Isles. It has a number of stunningly beautiful beaches such as this.

We had a great circular walk taking in two other beaches, a deserted village and views to the southernmost islands of the archipelago. And again we have had beautifully warm, still, clear weather.
