The Edge of the Wold

Elfin green

There was a wood elf on the path early this morning as we came down off the Knott.

What a beautiful day.  Spring has most definitely sprung, the blackthorn is adorned in white, the wild cherries are in their brief blossom, willow warblers are tinkling everywhere (including in the lane outside the house), the sand martins are going in and out of their burrows on the Kent, small tortoiseshells are egg laying on nettles by the river, a small tortoise has been devouring dandelion leaves on the lawn (now safely tucked up in his house in case of frost).......

For those who read my blip two nights ago, the following day Chloe Victoria arrived in the world, everybody well and happy.
