Two Pubs That Were .......

.....but are no longer :-(
This is at Baitings Reservoir, Ripponden.  The top one (the white building) is the oldest. It was converted into a pub from some old weavers cottages in the 17th century and named the Blue Ball.
The lower one (just above the water level and alongside the A58)  was built in the 18th century and called the New Inn.
Both were thriving hostelries right into the 1970s but eventually closed and were converted into housing in 2002.
