An evening walk

It can be frustrating having such a run of fine weather during the working week (not that others enjoyment is to be begrudged)

Before it all changes, we decided to enjoy a walk in the open air - after a meal at the Swan with Two Nicks.

Walking around Dunham park in the evening it feels a totally different place. The deer are more confiding. There are very few people, just the odd jogger and cyclist. And lots of bats, which are always fantastic to watch.

Above, the waxing moon is getting brighter, and we could just about make out Venus to its side. Jupiter above was only visible when the sky had darkened more on our return home.

These are emerging oak leaves and oak flowers, with the moon shining behind.
