Frosterley marble

This amazing font is in St. Lawrence's Church, Appleby. It is made of Frosterley marble, and is full of fossilised shells and other sea creatures.

We're in Appleby to walk the Westmoreland Way to Arneside over the next week or so. Really looking forward to it, even though the weather has cooled from the great sunshine of the last week.
