Rutter Force

Day 1 of the Westmoreland Way, from Appleby to.Crosby Ravensworth. It was a wet morning, improving after lunch, and ending with an excellent dinner at the community owned pub in Crosby Ravensworth. The meal at the Butcher's Arms was easily the best pub meal we've had in years, and I recommend a visit if you live anywhere near it. Good beer too.

We're staying the night at nearby Wickerslack Farm, and I'm posting this from their comfortable sitting room sat in front of the fire.
