Gently down the stream

Yellow meadow

Down in the water meadows this morning I found this still and silent yellow digger marooned, engine-deep, in buttercups, yellow flags and last year's dun coloured reeds. It felt like all the growing that's going on might swallow it up. I expect it's supposed to be digging out the drainage ditches, but I'm surprised its weight hasn't sunk it into the bog.

Very very tired tonight. Thank goodness it's the weekend - and a long one at that. Thank you for all your lovely comments over the last few days. I will certainly get round to your beautiful journals, but - sorry - some may need to wait till tomorrow morning. Have a great evening x
