From bud to bloom

From my 2013 journal...I can't say it any better this morning.

The blooms of this old tree have shown me springtime almost my entire life. Southern softness, lush petals that grace us briefly and fall in piles of browning glory. Purchased by my parents when I was two, we endure together. I started out taller, now the tree is taller than this house and the one I grew up in. The past winter was devastating to her beautiful limbs, but she is blooming again.

Closer and crisper with true colors

For the Record,
This day came in cool and sunny. We have plans to take a ride to the ocean, we both need some salt air...and some fried clams perhaps.

All hands healing

I added an extra photo of herring swimming up stream to spawn from salt to fresh water and another of Duxbury Beach where we had a lovely walk/
