Roadside verge - Wimland hill

Wimland hill between Horsham and Faygate is another of my favourite places. When I was a small child I would go there with my Mother picking primroses....we used to pick bunches and bunches and edge them all nicely with primrose leaves and tie the bunches up with grass.. the smell was heavenly, but I can see why primroses declined rapidly in 60's.
luckily these days it is illegal to pick bunches of them, and they are doing very well.
This is the verge at the very top of the hill, taken looking down the windy road back to the distant A264.
I will take advantage of blip's new feature today, and post another shot of the road looking back so you can enjoy the whole story :-)
