What big feet you have!

One of the things I like best about moorhens is the size and colour of their feet. I took this at Blackford Pond where I met up with T for the first of hopefully many sunny afternoons watching the wildlife. In addition to the swans' nest on the island and the coots' nest on the edge of the island, we also saw two moorhens in the reeds who looked as if they might be building a nest. We've never seen moorhens breeding successfully at Blackford Pond, so hopefully this will be a first.
