Manchester's Central Library

Today I met up with 20 plus ex colleagues from our Church Girls Brigade days, to celebrate our captains 80th birthday, with champaign afternoon tea at the Midland Hotel.

Before I went in, I grabbed a couple of shots of the recently refurbished Central Library which is looking great, pity the sun wasn't shining though:-/ I love the new trees that have been planted with there lilac flowers too.

I did plan on walking around the city afterwards, but afternoon tea then became evening with prosecco in the bar, and before I,knew it, it was time to get my train home :-)
