singapore zoo - the best in the world apparently! I'm not a fan of zoos and there were parts of this one that made me feel uncomfortable, like when the keepers make some of the animals perform in any way. they did this with the elephants and the oragitans. the rest was pretty great though and these bats were amazing - so close we could have touched them (although we didn't). they were sleepy and seemed drunk on the fruit. and I wanted to steal a mouse deer, I'd like one of those running about the house.

great curry in the hawker canteen after too...nice to see they don't fleece the zoo visitors with high food prices like the do in the uk.
