Off with a bound and a leap

I was just having a bath when Mike and David shouted 'deer!!!' so out I leapt , dried as quickly as I could and dashed down stairs just in time to grab a quick shot as the Roe Deer a it leapt and bounded across the field and with one large jump it was over the fence and in among the Christmas trees an out of sight.
Saw the first swallow returning yesterday, the oyster catchers have been in the field, the buzzard was soaring and the female sparrow hawk has attempted to catch a meal but left empty clawed.
Not a bad day although it started cold with a frost and a few sleet showers but it is now a beautiful evening with fluffy clouds and bright sunshine. The temperature is dropping , 4.6 at the moment and expected
to fall further once the sun goes down.
Busy day doing the housework, yawn ! Richard made a delicious chilli for dinner though.
