Taraxacum

The steps in my back garden are showing off rather a lot of Taraxacum this year.  They have a habit of rooting deep between the stones making them difficult to dig out. There are so many of them I am  waiting for the enthusiasm to get out an old knife to try and dig out the roots. If you don't get out the root the plant divides and becomes bigger and better  than it was before.   Its that or weed killer.
Taraxacum is the Latin name. The common name  is dandelion  from the French dent-de-lion, meaning "lion's tooth". Do lions have yellow teeth?
