A bankful of white

A long day today continuing with plant cataloguing and tagging, so it was 5.30 before I got back to the yard - and then I had lots of watering to do.

I had to snatch a Blip on my way up to the house, so chose this wonderful patch of double wood anemone, Anemone nemorosa 'Alba Plena'.  It was there when I came but is slowly spreading - we assist it year by year by thinning out the centre and extending the area.

I wondered at first if it was the cultivar 'Vestal', but think that it's more likely to be 'Alba Plena' as the double centres are a little smaller. Whatever it is, it's a beaut!
