This looks like a little bee.

Anyway, it was feasting on the dropwort on 'The Craft', oblivious to me, rustling in the undergrowth trying to get this shot.

The dropwort is 'Alexanders', which apparently, is edible and poor folks used to eat it like celery, peeled and boiled, as a vegetable. Food for free.

A close relative is Hemlock Water Dropwort, which is horribly poisonous.
