Canada Goose

A Canada Goose keeping an eye on me as she/he had a quiet preen, love the lone feather drifting off.

Canada Geese were introduced from North America as game birds in the 1870s. They are now well established and found widespread on grasslands near waterways.

They are wary birds, always alert as they are still considered game birds, and keep together in flocks out of the breeding season.

It was a super day for walking down by the lake, warm in the sun with just the slightest wind, plenty of ducks about as duck shooting season has started.

Enjoying a wonderful weekend, the weather is perfect so far :)
