SIGNS

Big Art

Visited the art gallery in Liverpool, found this sign beside some of the paintings exhibited there. This appears to let the recipients know that the paintings it indicates are specially famous; also from the way it looks, this sign is aimed at children in particular. I'd guess that this sign not only helps those who don't have much time to look around the entire gallery and yet want to have a look only at famed pictures, but also encourages children to appreciate 'big art' their ancestors created.

During this trip I learned the adjective (and also the noun), Liverpudlian, and heard locals speaking what is called Scouse for the first time. Well, actually listening to Scouse was one of two purposes of my day trip to Liverpool, as I've had a keen interest in British local accents. The other purpose was just to visit the art gallery.
